Nice bright green, with a slight stretch to the material. I wouldn't descibe it as very soft though which makes for quite rough going with crocheting (maybe I am just not as tough as others). Feels strong and robust.

I ordered this yarn to create crocheted home items such as little jewellery trays. It is a beautiful colour and very soft to the touch as you would expect a t-shirt style fabric to be. The yarn is relatively chunky but you will need to do a thick stitch to create the stiffness that a tray or basket requires. I haven't had opportunity to wash this yarn and I daresay I will not need to with what I am using it for so cannot comment on washability but I would expect it to fray slightly along the edges as a t-shirt with raw edges would. Over all it is a nicely coloured, strong yarn and you get a lot for your money. If you are planning on making a basket however I would suggest ordering 2-3 balls due to the yarn eater stitch you will need to do to achieve the right stiffness.
